Jabiru
oil field, Bonaparte Basin Field:
Jabiru Oil Field Jabiru–1A was the discovery well for the Jabiru Field, which has produced in excess of 100 MMBBL of oil. A number of HRDZs are present over the field, and all are typically fairly small (O’Brien and Woods, 1995). The top of the HRDZ shown in Figure 7 is relatively shallow (about 300 ms), indicating a very late phase of leakage. The shallow seismic data generally have low resolution, which makes the anomalies harder to identify. There is characteristic pull-up and a zone of poor data beneath the anomalies. The HRDZs start to degrade the stack response from about 300 ms and continues to deeper levels, thereby making structural interpretation of the field difficult.
