Evaluating hydrocarbon migration, charge history and leakage on Australia's North-West Shelf using generic, multi-disciplinary, multi-technology approaches

4 Day Workshop

This workshop was presented by Dr Geoff O'Brien and Mr Robert Cowley to representatives from nine Japanese oil companies in March 2002. The workshop was held in the Tokyo offices of JNOC.

An extensive collection of data and interpretations from a variety of survey types is presented during the workshop. The results are integrated with regional and detailed geology and charge history models of the North-West Shelf. The responses and limitations of each survey type must be understood to effectively integrate the results into a predictive geological model. The techniques and methodologies demonstrated using the comprehensive North-West Shelf data sets can be applied world-wide.
